News:KANYE WEST CALLS OUT TAYLOR SWIFT IN LEAKED ‘SNL’ AUDIO

A SOURCE CLOSE TO 'YE CLAIMS THE RANT WAS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT... BUT 'YE'S WORDS STILL SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE: HE'S 50 PERCENT BETTER THAN YOU.

Kanye West’s recent penchant for unfiltered Twitter rants spilled into his real life over the weekend, according to new reports that claim he suffered a backstage meltdown at SNL.

Page Six obtained an audio clip of Kanye’s alleged outburst, during which he threatens not to do the show, repeatedly yells “Don’t fuck with me!” and rants that he’s 50 percent more influential than any other person, “dead or alive.” He also name-checks Stanley Kubrick and Apostle Paul, and goes on to call Taylor Swift a “fake ass” following their latest flare-up. (In his new song “Famous,” he raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why, I made that bitch famous.” Taylor seemingly replied at Monday night’s Grammy Awards, calling out people who try to “take credit for your fame.”)

After the audio leaked, a source close to Kanye’s camp issued a statement to Billboard, saying the clip was taken out of context.

“He did NOT yell at SNL staff,” the source said. “This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team.”

The source went on to explain that Kanye — who performed “Ultra Light Beam” and “High Lights” on the Feb. 13 show — was blindsided by “dramatic” set changes that happened just 30 minutes before his performance.

“He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval,” the source said. “He had spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.”

The source added that all was forgiven by the end of the night: “Kanye was seen hugging Lorne Michaels just before the goodnights and he stayed afterwards to chat with the staff and the cast, and thanked the producers on his way out the door.”

Even so, we expect Kanye will have much more to say about this mess. Waiting for his Twitter response in 4…3…2…1…
